THE EDITOR’S SPARK

Hi friends,
Last week, the NBA Ikeja Branch held the 4th Chief Gani Fawehinmi Annual Lecture. The lecture, a festival to celebrate the ideas and life of Chief Gani Fawehinmi, since inception bears the tag “FAWEHINMIISM”
The Squib however chose to dub the 2008 edition of the Gani festival “RIBADU-HINMIISM.” In case you are curious about this appellation, you’ll do well to go and read our Cover Story.(

Starting from this edition, Your ‘Sweet’ Regulars’ gets a new member. This latest member goes by the name ‘SQUIB KUDOS’ and is dedicated to recognizing the positive acts and conduct of the personnel of the Judiciary at any level, as well as those of counsel and litigants.
This we believe, will encourage the continuation and emulation of such positive deeds and attitudes. So, we’ll be glad to hear and read from our dear readers about the “good deeds” of our judges, magistrates, court registrars, counsel etc. (

Well, until when next the parliament opens, do not take it easy. Don’t take your music to the grave. Give life your best shots. The Heavens Will Not Fall!
